Bonfire Night - Sat Nov 5th - TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FROM ROSE AND CROWN. The Rose and Crown will be open as usual for the pre and post match festivities. This year we will be serving a 'curry and a pint' for £7.95 and half price half portions for children under 12 (softdrink but no pint - sorry kids). Normal menu also being served but bookings strongly advised! Got some great beers in at the moment too. Hooky Gold, Cornish Scream from Skinners, Gunpowder Bell from Tring (mmmmm, Gunpowder Bell - copper lovely) and of course your friend and mine - Butcombe Bitter.
Cask Ale Week - Running from the 1st to 9th October 2011. This year we are celebrating Cask Ale week in partnership with Tring Breweries. We will have the entire range of concurrently brewed Tring beers on all week (7 - 8 beers). On Thursday 6th, Richard Shardlow (co-owner of Tring Breweries) will host a 'meet the brewer' evening at The Rose and Crown. 'Nibbles' will be provided and Richard will talk about their products and their company. All week we will be running a 'try them all' challenge where those customers who manage a pint of every one of the beers over the week will receive a free pint of their choice! Customers wanting to enter the challenge will receive a card which we will stamp each time a pint of each one of the beers is purchased and consumed. All completed cards will go into a draw at the end of the week to win a dinner for two at The Rose and Crown.
Over the week our food menu will feature specials matching food with the beers on offer.
Update 6th October "Meet the Brewer" - A very successful "Meet the Brewer" evening last night at The Rose and Crown and a good night seemed to be had by all. A big thank you to Richard for attending last night and to the Tring Breweries team for their support over the week. Here are some photos of the evening.
2011 Xmas Menu - Yes, it is that time of year again! See here for our yummy Xmas menu. Make sure to book early!
Back in the Good Beer Guide - It is very gratifying to see that The Rose and Crown Ivinghoe has made it back into the Good Beer Guide 2012. Many thanks to the faithful who have bought to CAMRA's attention our efforts 'at the pump' and also to the good folk at CAMRA for their outstanding effort in making real ale such a great category - a country pub saviour if ever there was one.
Reviewed! - Be sure to peruse the latest issue of Tring Living which features a nice review of The Rose and Crown Ivinghoe
Rugby World Cup! - Rugby World Cup starts this week (Friday) - here is the tournament schedule. (Note times are GMT +12 or BST+11). We are not proposing to show any pool games but once the quarter final games become clearer we will look to show the good'uns. This will always remain conditional on the All Blacks not choking too early in the tournament in which case the telly will be removed from the pub.

Wasn't that a great bonfire night this year! A few piccies...
Valentines Menu - See our Menus page for the 2012 Valentines Menu. Available Tues 14th to Thurs 16th.
New Years Eve Gloom Buster - Forget everything else and come and celebrate New Years Eve at the Rose and Crown this year. We are serving a buffet as well as having our usual party for local revellers. See here for the menu and details. Numbers for the dinner are limited so please book early but as usual, no booking needed if you just want to party!
